I know I say this every year but how is it possible that I have a 4 year old??  The time is just flying by and I swear it goes by faster every day.  You are such an independent sweetheart.  You're growing so big and learning so much in school.  I was so impressed when you came home from school and could write your name!  You are so smart and whenever I ask where you learned something you normally respond "My Brain and My heart told me."  You have an imagination that is out of this world and often reminds me of your Aunt Manda.  Whenever we go places in the car you always want to sing made up songs or play silly games.  Baby girl my hope for you is that you will always stay as sweet and loving as you are today.  I love you and Happy Birthday Bug!!

Baby Update

Still NOT pregnant.  My stupid insurance decided that they did not want to cover the cost of my HSG even though it was pre-authroized.  So now I am getting those bills which are up to $2200 so far...there goes the funds we had set aside to try IUI.  For now we'll just keep trying the old fashion way and if we end up pregnant then that will be a wonderful gift from God however I have come to terms with being a mommy of 1 and feel like I will be fine with whatever happens.  I do wish Lauren could have a sibling because I know how much my sister means to me but that is beyond my control at this point.

Housing Update

Guess I should update on our housing situation.  The person that put in an offer had to back out because she hasn't paid her taxes and couldn't get approved for her loan. We were only a few days away from ordering a pod when she backed out.  I had packed a ton of stuff and had to go back and unpack some stuff because we still needed if it if we were going to be in the house longer.  Then the government shut down happened and nobody wanted to look at the house.  Thankfully the government was able to work out a plan and we've had a few showings this weekend so hopefully someone will buy my house :)

We could be homeless by October 10.  We put our house on the market on Friday and it went under contract today.  I am excited, stressed (we have less than 3 weeks to pack) and a little sad.  We moved into this house before we got married.  We had our wedding rehearsal dinner and our families met for the first time in the house.  We came home from our post wedding brunch and our neighbors were out in their yard yelling Congrats to the Newlyweds!!!  We have suffered miscarriages and brought our sweet Lauren home to this house.  We closed on this house the first week of December in 2005.  I remember sitting on the living room floor with nothing but a blanket, some pillows, our dog Molly, and a decorated Christmas tree already up before we even had our furniture delivered.  The pair that delivered our fridge joked about how we didn't have a place to sit but already had a tree in the corner.  This house holds lots of memories and while I am sad to pack up and leave I am looking forward to the new memories we will create once we decide on our new home.

First day of School!!!

Lauren had her first day of preschool!!!!  Well let me rephrase that I mean her first day of school.  When I asked her about preschool the other day she said, "Mama can we just call it school?  Preschool is for babies and I am a big girl."  She missed the real first day of school was Tuesday because she was sick with a fever and just over all yuckiness.  Last night she had a complete freak out and was crying because she said she was smart already and didn't need to go to school.   It continued into this morning and I was dreading the drop-off until I started singing the song "First Day of School" from Yo Gabba Gabba.  That got her excited and she was ready to go.  Matthew and I both took her to class this morning.  She walked right up to her teacher and said "Hi!  My name is Lauren.  I am wearing my new smurf shirt."  Then she noticed a group of other kids and just walked off and left me.  She didn't even say good bye until I said bye Lauren have a good day.  She waved and said bye mama but didn't even bother to turn and look in my direction.  When did my baby became so grown and independent???  First day was a success and she is already begging to go back!

Trying for Baby #2

We have always wanted more than 1 child.  If you ask Matthew he wants a total of 3 and I have always felt I would be content with 2.  In May 2012 we decided we were going to start to try and expand our family.  We figure it would be easy and I would get pregnant right away since the last two times we had tried it happened quickly.  Well as we were quick to find out God's plans for us were not the same as the ones we had.  Month after month we were disappointed again until I got a positive pregnancy test over Memorial Day weekend 2013 however only a few short days later I had a miscarriage.  We made plans to take the month off after the miscarriage to give my body and our emotions some time to heal and then would start again the next month.  Well the next cycle was the same as all the previous ones, no results so I made an appointment with my OBGYN.   We made a game plan to see if we can possibly find out what's going on.  I'm know that I already have some things working against me.  I have fibroids and a bicournate uterus.  I'm going in next week for an ultrasound to check my fibroids to see if they have grown any and also a progesterone check.  Then when my next cycle starts we'll schedule a hysterosalpingography (HSG) to check to see if there is any scarring from my c-section causing issues and to make sure my tubes aren't blocked.  There will also be some testing for Matthew to make sure he's not the issue.  Then once we get all of those results we'll work to figure out our next steps.  Lauren ask me all the time if she can have a baby brother or sister so hopefully this will work to give us some answers so we can make that happen!
